Cation-exchange chromatography

A type of ion-exchange chromatography that has negatively-charged stationary phase. Positively-charged analytes are retained by the negatively-charged stationary phase. Positively-charged analytes compete with cations from the salt for the negatively-charged binding sites on the stationary phase.
